How long for walk in test results

My daughter has a cough so she's home with me today. She's just been for her Covid test at 8:00am at a walk in centre so I'm wondering given that, in theory, less people are being tested now as cases are going down, how long people have had to wait before getting the results?

Between 24-48 hrs depending .

Went to chemist yesterday and picked up the home testing kits for husband as he's been using my stash from work (nhs)

We went at 9 on Wednesday and got the result by text at 7 this morning

Forgot to add , hope it's negative and daughter feels better soon. There's a cold bug thing doing the rounds so maybe that

Thank you. Hopefully we will get the results early tomorrow morning and she'll be fine. I honestly think it is just a cold but unfortunately the crazy world we now find ourselves in means I have to overly cautious about a 3 year olds cough.
