Vaccination at wimbledon centre court

Has anyone had their vaccination at wimbledon centre court yet. How was the experience. Just a bit nervous about the whole vaccination thing

Barring the risk of Cliff Richard popping along to lead a morale-boosting singalong (low chance but could be extremely painful if it were to occur) I'm sure it will be fine.

That Cliff Richard event has haunted me for decades.

haha...agree...just a a bit weary about taking AZ vaccine because of all the negative publicity it is getting

Went past the other day, looked well organised with hardly any queue, so no waiting.

One of the couples in our 'mob' at Excell last Friday bought a box of choccies for staff/volunteers. A nice thought and one I will copy when we get our second in July. Absolutely nothing to worry about you will be more than fine, you will be VACCINATED.

@vera99 thanks xx. That's such a sweet gesture...something that we can all copy for the hard work they are doing.

Folk are so happy to be there and getting their vaccine and the staff are so lovely and nice it's actually a nice day out. But doesn't last long enough. I chose Excell for the drama of the location - it didn't disappoint!

@vera99 thats so nice to hear. I chose center court because its a just under 10 minutes walk for me and very familiar with the place

@vera99 did you get AZ or Pfizer?

Got AZ mild headache - chills and a bit hot for the night and since then fine. Partner a mild headache and that was it. The Centre Court sounds such a nice place to get it if had known might have tried to book there. It would seem there are quite a few iconic places like cathedrals and such like to make a sense of occasion about the event. I would be taking strawberries......

@lurker101 - that's my balloon deflated then. But no chance of Barbadian Cliff so it's swings and roundabouts. Though once you've had it you can sing We're All Going on a Summer Holiday and annoy savethegrannies....

I had AZ a month ago. There was a lovely community spirit of volunteers marshaling us, it was quick and efficient. I was really tired for about 24 hours after. Otherwise no sideffects. I'm mid 40s

@herethereandeverywhere glad to know that you had only mild symptoms.

I also had AZ, I’m in my 20s and had it before the changes and had a mild hangover type feeling the next day, but that was it. Definitely worth it for me

@lurker101 thats great. Its good to read that most people are getting only mild symptoms. Gives me more confidence. I always worry for no reason :)

I thought it was at Centre Court at Wimbledon!!! 🎾
