Thankfully India have such strict entry requirements in place since March 2020 that there is likely to be very few people “rushing home” between now and Friday. Only Indian passport holders, OCI holders, medical visa or business visa holders can travel. Given the schools are back, I imagine the number of people there currently that will try to come back quickly is quite low

Yes, you could say leaving the borders open until Friday will give us a tonne more data to work with. I do not understand why they couldn't red list them today.

I did read somewhere about there being 6 hour delays at airports. And that's at thewell organised airports! God only knows what it'll be like at any airport that's a bit small and disorganised.

I do t think I'll go abroad this year.

I had to fly longhaul for an urgent family matter last week and returned yesterday. Heathrow was totally empty both ways. Very short security lines and virtually zero wait at immigration.

I’m sure that could change over the summer, especially for shorter trips with Ryanair and the like. At the moment it’s not even permitted to go on holiday abroad. But for the moment at least it is fine.

Probably going to warn us all not to lose sight of the target as we are so close now, don't mess it up!
