Shame he wasn't as proactive about the cobra meetings a year ago

I thought the same thing this morning. I think he imagines it is good PR, good old Boris man of the people sorting out football for the masses. Might have the opposite effect, it has with me, I didn't think my opinion of him could get any lower but I was wrong.

You can’t let those bandwagons just go rolling by.
He appears to have been out drinking pints now we’ve got that pesky funeral out of the way too.

I recognise that the football has economic importance , but the cult of spectator 'team' sport is part of the reason why this country is so fat. We need to encourage activity that does not involve the organised bullying of 'teams'. And yes, some mandarin can sort this out, the prime minister should have higher priorities.

What a tosser.

He does not give a shiny shit about the lives of millions, poverty, racism, Covid etc

All that matters is his and his cronies' finances and cheap populist soundbites. I would never (normally) condone physical violence but would happily punch him in the face.

You can see where his priorities lie..

The whole football scene pisses me off. In the middle of a pandemic when people can't visit and see their parents for months, kids missing out on education and businesses folding, but it's ok because loads of fellas from different households can come together to kick a ball around the field. The fact that elite footballers are let off from quarantining in certain countries and now the full news and government are fully focused on it again.
