How long is the wait for PCT results at the moment?

I’m getting DD tested tomorrow morning at 10am as she has a cough, I’m wondering if there’s any chance of a result before she’s due to go to nursery on Tuesday afternoon.

Could anyone who has done a drive-in PCR test recently let me know how long the wait for results was please?

Very quick at the moment I think. I have one every week for work and it's coming back the next day at the moment. Last autumn it was taking 4 days!

I had my first at 9.30am at a newly set up test centre in my area and got the results at 7pm.

I had my second at 10am, at a different test centre that is more established, and got my results the next afternoon about 12.30pm.

This was in March.

I would say you've got a good chance. DS was tested at 10am and results back at 5am the following morning, so 19 hours. This was about 10 days ago. I think they are getting about 80-90% of tests back within 24 hours at the moment.

First time no results. Second time 11 days later!

2.20pm test last week, results back 9am next day, really impressed

My son had a test at 9.30am on Friday and we had the results at 10.30pm the same day

My dad had to do two in a week (long story 🙄), the first one was done at about 11am and he got the results at 8am the next morning. Second test was done around 4.30pm and he got the results just after midday the next day. These were both at mobile test centres.
