Well pretty much that..... am finding myself full of mixed feelings.

On one hand a massive relief and emotional that it is finally happening.

On the other hand anxiety through the roof as I cannot help being affected by all the press of AZ (which I suspect is what I will be given and yes I know all medicines have side effects and yes I do not know what I will get) and it has hugely triggered me and old deep rooted fears and I am scared something bad will happen. Still I will go but I know I will mark the days in the calendar until I have passed the count of days that is the 'known window' for blood clots.

I know this type of post has been written many many times before.... I am just scared.

Oh fab, at least it's done @NoMoreLimbo. I am hoping that when I get to the point that it's done, I will just be able to tell myself there's nothing I can do now and try not to think about it. Did you get the AZ after? I hope you enjoy the rest of your day :)

Cornettoninja · 17/04/2021 14:15

I’m really glad it’s done and dusted. Enjoy your afternoon Smile

Two of my children were before me and I was happy and confident that it was the right thing for them, then it came to my turn and I get like you did!

It’s weird and I’m not an anxious person. I think it’s just natural.

Rainbowsandstorms · 17/04/2021 16:24

Well done, enjoy the rest of your day.

I had mine a few days ago, AZ, and had no side effects at all. My arm is tender if I push down on where it was injected but nothing else. Hopefully it'll be the same for you.

NoMoreLimbo · 17/04/2021 17:16

@Mackers17 yes it was AZ. I will indeed try not to think about it now (and not psychosomatically check myself for nasty serious side effects). Historically I have taken many other vaccines (travelling etc) and done all sorts of, read idiotic, things not thought twice about it!

Just been for a 2.5 hr walk. DCs dogs and I suitably exhausted.

Bloody pleased to hear you got it, seriously well done. And dog walks of course help clear your mind
Best wishes the first steps. X

NoMoreLimbo · 17/04/2021 23:07

@sleepwouldbenice thank you!

More dog walks tomorrow if I’m up for it.
Have found myself so unbelievably thirsty all day. No idea if related to jab.
Hope all who went today feel okay.
