My DD works in a ( non essential) shop They’re dreading it.

Maybe they could spare a thought for some of their retail colleagues who haven't got the luxury of going back to work today as their shops were closed down for good during lockdown and were made unemployed instantly

* I feel the opposite, have only ordered a couple of essential things online, and can't wait to get back into shops again. Especially clothes shops.*

I think a lot of the custom today will be exchanges/refunds, due to the fact that clothes couldn't be tried on. Lots of bargains to be had in my store if you have cash to spend.

I can't wait, heading out with my daughters mid morning. Don't mind queuing just looking forward to getting them a few bits

I feel similarly about going on holiday abroad. I’m desperate to go on holiday. However I’m not up for paying thousands for a Covid holiday where we need to wear masks and queue for the pool etc. I’d rather wait till things were more normal.
