Hopefully it never happens again. Although it might be another few weeks until you can drink and eat indoors again.

Hallelujah. I’m pregnant now so sadly will be on soft drinks but I’ve still booked about five outdoor beer garden tables over the next couple of weeks 👏🏻👏🏻

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 09/04/2021 17:26

MarcelineMissouri · 09/04/2021 17:39

We have booked for Monday! Just hope the rain holds off and it’s not too cold!!

ssd · 09/04/2021 17:40

Not in Scotland

Waxonwaxoff0 · 09/04/2021 18:01

Thank goodness! Booked in for next week.

sleepwouldbenice · 09/04/2021 18:02

Really hope it's the last time they are ever made to close.
Weather looks.....like we need our coats Grin

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 09/04/2021 18:02

Yup , Wales here, but we've already got two bookings for May.

We're all going to get so chubby Grin

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 09/04/2021 18:05

Has everyone decided what they're having?

Our first meal (May bank holiday):

Buffalo wings
Burger
Sticky toffee pudding (if room)

Jo99996 · 09/04/2021 18:24

But for the bulk of cafes etc it’s no change for them as they’ve no outside space, or for some pubs etc it won’t be worth opening due to massively reduced income so won’t be profitable

Thank you! Scotland here and I hadn't even bothered checking if bookings are open for end April yet, but they ARE and now I have one Grin

There's this brilliant veggie burger my favourite local pub does, so I'll be having that with sweet potato fries. And pear crumble with ice cream. And a great big glass of Kopparberg.

MrsHastingslikethebattle · 09/04/2021 18:46

I'll bringing along blankets and hats for my pint this Monday Grin

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 09/04/2021 18:51

@GoldenOmber that sounds amazing, haven't had a crumble for ages! The place I've booked also does a 'brewer's sundae' - coffee liqueur ice cream, chocolate brownie, whipped cream and stout chocolate sauce. Mmm.

Not yet, the pub we are going to doesn't have a set menu, they change it daily. So it will be a surprise! All of that sounds great.

A shame really as the weather was glorious around this time last year IIRC. We did have that nice few days at the end of March, but the temperatures usually pick up in April.

Hopefully this cold snap passes over the next week or so.

DH has Mon-Wed off work. I work at weekends, so we'll be walking up to our local. I'm having my second vaccine on Mon, so thinking Wed - a glass of wine and sandwich, fish n chips or something I don't cook at home, it'll be nice to have the choice and no washing up. I'll be taking my blanket, I don't care.

Wellbythebloodyhell · 09/04/2021 21:44

Nothing booked in just yet but definitely hoping to eat out in the next couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to not having to cook a meal that inevitably at least 1 of the family doesn't want and not having the dishes afterwards it will be heaven.

Iootraw1 · 09/04/2021 21:53

Going to wait until the weather warms up a bit. Sitting outside in freezing cold and still dealing with social distancing and all these covid procedures just not appealing. Rather sit at hone with my wine.

Soothes · 09/04/2021 22:09

Being able to have six in the garden has seemed like heaven. I hope garden drinks remains a thing.

Unless you are in Scotland, controlled by Saint Nicola of Covid.

No hospitality until 26th April at least, only outdoors, in groups of no more than 6, 10pm curfew.

No indoor until at least 17th May, still with a curfew and limit on how long you can stay.

We are a long way off "normal" in Scotland. Totally ridiculous.

emmathedilemma · 10/04/2021 09:44

On the news last night they said only 40% of pubs are expected to reopen due to lack of outdoor space :(
Are we getting alcohol when they reopen on 26th April @RaspberryCoulis or is it soft drinks only again? I'm not really fussed, I'll be at the gym!

Coasterfan · 10/04/2021 09:48

I can’t get excited yet, our local has about 6 tables right next to the main road and it’s freezing. We ll be waiting until we can eat indoors as it doesn’t look much fun here!

user1487194234 · 10/04/2021 12:06

I think its alcohol outside from 26th April.Absolutely ridiculous.

LucilleTheVampireBat · 10/04/2021 13:54

Cannot wait. Even have Monday booked off work so I can go hard all weekend 🤣
