I have had 3 tests over the pandemic, home tests, they have all taken 5 days to get result

5 days? That's terrible!

It says online 48 hours and to call them if you've not heard by then.

I am trying to decide whether to visit a family member who needs care but due to my own age and DH in recent remission from cancer, can't risk going if they have covid.

My son was tested this week. We posted it Tuesday afternoon and got the result on Thursday mid-morning.

I posted mine just before midday on Tuesday this week, it arrived at the lab at about 9pm on Tuesday and I got the result at about 9pm on Wednesday.
