Vaccination and resting heart rate

Neolara · 06/04/2021 18:24

I was looking through my Fitbit data and noticed that my resting heart rate went up for the 6 days after my vaccination. Only by a little bit, but it's noticeable different to normal. I felt rubbish for the first 48 hours (temperature, aches, shivery etc) so not altogether surprised it went up for those days. I was surprised it lasted so long though. Has anyone else noticed this?

Please ignore this! I posted twice in error.

Mine went up.the night of the vaccination, it wasn't so much the testing heart rate that was noticeable but the fact that it never went below my resting rate over night, which is completely different to usual. It went back to normal.the following day. If your temperature was up slightly that would explain it.

mmm... sort of. last 6 days the fitbit says RHR = all 61-62. The 2 days after jab it says 64. But also says 63-64 for a 5 day stretch ending about 10 days before the jab. So not a lot to go on there.

Yes my heart rate felt definitely faster for 2 days.

Did for my first AZ - but I tested +ve 2 days later so that probably doesnt count (asymptomatic though)

Not for my second.

Yes! My resting hr soared to 85bpm for about 24hrs and remained elevated at 68-70bpm for about a week.
