Anyone group 1-6 still waiting for first vaccine?

Firstly I get everyone has to wait their turn and there have been supply issues etc.

Also that the NHS have been AMAZING at setting up what they've done.

However we keep hearing how nearly all vulnerable have been vaccinated and will be offered one by 15th April.

Yet I've been told my son in group 6 won't get offered until AT LEAST end of April as there just simply isn't enough vaccines to do first doses when they need to prioritise second ones.

I'll be bloody fuming if they announce on 15th that everyone in those groups has been offered their first and say how that means we are safe to reduce restrictions etc.

Fwiw I agree with step 2 and agree it's time.

I just don't agree with pretending to everyone that all the vulnerable (group 6) will be vaccinated (if they want) when they aren't.

I think it creates a false sense of security to everyone and people won't realise there's police, teachers, supermarket workers and plenty of public facing roles (critical workers) who are CV, unvaccinated and will be facing thousands more people daily increasing their risk.

Yup, me - group 6. Have relatives with the same condition as me who live in diff parts of the country (I'm South East) and had their jabs months ago- I've not heard a peep and my GP surgery refuse to take questions about the vaccine, so either I've incorrectly been left off the list or they haven't made their way down to me yet.

How do we find out what group we are in

AzureTwist · 06/04/2021 14:57

If you are group 6 in England can you not just book on the national site, or phone 119 to book for you? All over 40’s in our area have now been offered a first dose, after a very slow Gp offering group 6. I am in group 6 and got it at the same time as our area was doing group 7/8!

AzureTwist · 06/04/2021 14:59

@RevolvingPivot if you are on CEV list you would have had a letter. Of group 6 should have been contacted for a vaccine and have a condition listed as group 6. Otherwise, it is by age. Anyone over 50 or group 6 or CEB condition is group 1-9.

Nhs website tells me I'm illegible to book this way.

That's why I know ds is definitely group 6 because when I went in about something else I asked them to confirm.

Ours also won't let you ring.

Ours posted on their FB page they have been told to stop first jabs and prioritise second and no one will be offered a first until at least end of April.

It's really frustrating when there's people in groups 7/8 and even 9 getting there's via the website.

If there isn't enough send it where it's needed for those who have a greater need. Mostly because you've said that's why you did it this way and refused to deviate from it!

Yep, household members of people who are immosuppressed have been put on the priority list - we were originally on a draft list but then removed. I can’t even get anyone to agree who should be vaccination me, never mind making an appointment.
