I know it is a small thing in the context of what many have gone through but really, I mean really. Looking forward to meeting up with family outside and the DAY it is allowed. DS gets a cough and tests positive Aghhhhhh. He is currently refusing school so it was 12 days since he had left the house on the day he first coughed. He must have been incubating it for that 12 days. He also.had a negative LFT. test the day before the cough started. DH and I both had one negative PCR test a couple of days after DS tested positive. ( rules have changed so household contacts can have a test if they want) So it was definitely him who caught it first.
So 10 days isolation for all of us. DS slightly off colour with cough for one day and a bit tired for 2 days . He was quite depressed and crying and going to the loo a bit more often for a week or so before the coughing started but he has had a lot of mental health problems for over a year now so maybe not related.
Anyway DS physically fine now apart for a bit of sneezing which is.probably not related to Covid. but his mental health means we can't even ask him to be a bit careful as he gets very upset if you ask anything of him and he wanders round the house a lot. Luckily DH and I were vaccinated but less than two weeks earlier for DH, just under 3 weeks for me. I am late 50s and BMI of over 40 , plus A blood group do although I'm not really worried it would be good if DS didn't sneeze and breathe in in my face on a regular basis . Sigh!
Day 5 of isolation so far and it feels sooooo long.
Come and tell me it is all going to be fine and I'll be meeting up with my sister outside in a couple of weeks. I am jealous of all the neighbours who I saw meeting up outside yesterday when the weather was so nice.
