Anyone had second vaccine and felt ok after suffering after first

Has anyone had the second vaccine and not felt ill, if they did after the first.

I'm due my second on Wednesday and I'm dreading it. After my first I felt really ill (flu like symptoms for 48 hours) I'm dreading it if I'm honest

Which one did you have? It seems that if you have the Oxford AZ you are more likely to have a reaction first time and with Pfizer a reaction second dose.

I had no side effects after my first Pfizer bar a weird arm sensation that night, but dreading my second one in two weeks time.

I had the Pfizer, lots of colleagues have had their second shot this week and have felt worse this time

I had pfizer. Felt similar to you describe after the first, and only very mildly limp/tired after the second. Was dreading it for the same reason and, whilst I wasn't symptom-free, it was an awful lot better than the first one.

I know a few who had Pfizer and had side effects with each but in all cases were less bad second time round.
Seems completely random tbh but definitely just because you had it bad first time doesn’t mean you’ll have it bad again.

I really worried too was really ill for 4 days then 2 consecutive migraines in next 10 days. I’m thinking if not bothering with second.
Have you had it now ? Are you ok ?

@Purpl I have been absolutely fine, nothing like the first one. I was so nervous this time getting the 2nd jab but for me was completely different.

I had first AZ and felt terrible for a week.
I had every symptom and couldn’t move.

Second dose felt a bit tired, tiny temperature but pretty much fine. Nothing to worry about.

Yup. First az I felt ill for about a day. Second one felt fine.

Glad to find this threat Op - I had first dose of the AZ vaccine on Friday and ale down with fever 6 hours after. Lasted till yesterday. Now achey and hot - haven’t been able to sleep properly and feel awful. Really hoping I get off more lightly after second dose
