I am a newly single parent household. I want to form a bubble with my sister but she lives two hours away. The idea would be to see her on weekends etc. Am I allowed to travel two hours for this purpose does anyone know?
Thanks!

Yes, and you always could.

Do bear in mind that you're not meant to chop and change your bubble, and of course your DSis cannot bubble with anyone else

Are you in England? If so, absolutely fine.

Karwomannghia · 04/04/2021 08:37

She’s said she’s newly single hence the new bubble.
Yes it’s fine, you don’t have to stay at home now so you can travel to see her.

Great that's really helpful. Thanks. Yes first time forming a bubble and in England. My sister isn't in a bubble with anyone else. Easter holiday suddenly looking much more rosy!

Yes I regularly travel from the south coast to London to see mine. It's allowed, don't let anyone tell you it's not.

No- one checks anyway, I have been up and down on trains since last March and never had any questions.

Yes travelling to see your bubble has always been allowed.

There has never been a travel ban on going to see your support bubble. Seeing them was also classed as one of the essential reasons to leave your home.
Have a lovely time with your sister :)

Yes we have done this week and its lots further than yours. Again no issue with travel at all. Enjoy!
