Hi all!

Just wondered if anybody else has experienced the same? I've been having VERY vivid and real feeling dreams recently.. when I think of it it does appear that they've been since the 1at covid AZ vaccine!

I just wondered if anybody else has had the same? It would be interesting to know 😊

Oh I read about this today! Can’t rememb where I saw it, maybe twitter

tryingforamiracle1 · 02/04/2021 21:58

@Dizzywizz how interesting! I've spoken to my entire family and those that have had the jab have been having absolutely terrifying dreams!

Oh my goodness. This is so weird. I was only thinking this morning, after yet another night of slightly unpleasant and very vivid dreams, that I was sick of this happening, after three weeks of them. I had the AZ three weeks ago.
Hadn’t even crossed my mind that there may be a link but now you have me wondering. I just thought it was odd, as I’m not really prone to dreaming; it’s unusual for me.
Will be interesting to see if anyone else has the same experience. Watching with interest now!

Yes, had some vivid dreams but not scary or anything. I assumed my sleep cycle had just changed slightly. Had my first vaccine a week ago.

ooonicorn · 02/04/2021 22:11

No way! I never usually dream but have been thinking how strange it is that I am so often now! Had my 1st AZ just over a week ago

teaandcustardcreamsx · 02/04/2021 22:18

I usually tend to have odd dreams though they were more realistic after my vaccine Confused and definitely seemed rather vivid! I had Pfizer though

AlandAnna · 02/04/2021 22:22

Yes me! After my 2nd dose of Pfizer. Just the weirdest dreams.

saffire · 02/04/2021 22:25

I've always had strange dreams. Nothing has changed since the vaccine, they are as crazy as ever!
Last night I was chased by a bull, into a big, stately home and managed to trap it in the cellar.

It's to do with your subconscious having 'built up' the vaccine event in your head. It's the same reason some people get emotional when they are having the jab. It's the culmination of a horrific year but also a celebration of the work of 1000s of people around the world who have played a role in bringing the vaccinations to fruition. It's momentous. It's meaningful. And psychologically will have a massive impact on you.

The dreams are not caused by the vaccine themselves. It's you, your body and your brain working through what it needs to process.

I couldn't sleep the first night after my vaccine because my mind went into some sort of overdrive with hundreds of thoughts racing around. I wondered if it was some sort of stress response. The vaccine marks the beginning of the end of such a significant moment in our history.

My friend reported really vivid dreams after hers.

roxisolerenshaw · 02/04/2021 22:40

I had vivid dreams. Definitely hadn't 'built up the vaccine event in my head' it was more likely because I had a raging temperature!

Parkerwhereareyou · 03/04/2021 05:37

I just seem to have sex constantly in the brain. Like, almost non-stop.

Good jab ☺️

Parkerwhereareyou · 03/04/2021 05:37

Sex constantly on the brain ...

Jenasaurus · 03/04/2021 06:04

Yes, me too, but I have really enjoyed my dreams since having the jab (I hadnt connected it to the jab until reading this) I actually have started to look forward to going to sleep as my dreams are so real and take me out of lockdown to enjoy some normality all be it in my sleep)

Mindymomo · 03/04/2021 08:03

Both my DH and I have conversations after waking about our dreams. Must admit they’re mostly not very nice ones. DH never hardly has dreams he had Pfizer, but has them regularly now, I had AZ.
