Absolutely terrified about getting back to normal

I have to be out tomorrow after so long being trapped inside. I found my passport and nervously clutched it because I feel like I need ID to even step outside the front door.

My best friend completely surprised me yesterday as he went down the pub. I didn't realise such activities were allowed.

The psychological impact of this is huge though. I think I've avoided COVID by side stepping around it and luck but am so used to trying to avoid it I'm very nervous about my new freedom.

Must be people the same.

To all those asking I'm in Northern Ireland!

Keep quiet and carry on

@Tootsey11

Hate to tell some of you, but there are many pubs open, lots round here are anyway. You simply slip in through the back door, any noise kept to a minimum.
Sounds like a barrel of laughs.

I don’t think anyone would actually be surprised to hear that there have been pubs open throughout tbh, but there’s no societal pressure to get out to the pub. Most people wouldn’t risk the fine for a whisper over a pint.

I’ve been into the office today - large city in the North of England - and it’s done wonders for my mental health. Sun is shining, plenty of people about, an actual queue of traffic on the way in. People in the shop at lunchtime buying sandwiches. Obviously not as busy as it used to be on a weekday but definitely like a busy Sunday. Actually felt normal for the first time in ages.

Pub opening (repeated offending) in my neck of the woods didn't end well.

Hopefully there will be more of this 🙏🏻
