Swollen lymph nodes after AZ vaccine

I've got a swollen lymph node that's come up after being vaccinated. It's listed as one of the rarer side effects on the gov.uk website but I can't open my mouth properly to eat and my ear feels like it's about to fall off. I have a warm compress on it but it's so painful. Has anyone else had this and how long did it last please?

My friend had this after her jab. He pharmacist friend advised that this is a known side effect. Nodes still raised after several weeks so GP referred to hospital. Has been referred to hospital to check nodes. Hospital not particularly concerned and don’t want to see her for 3 months.

Not sure what she’s doing to treat it though. Knowing her, she’s probably ignoring it.
Would ibuprofen work?

To clarify, she has been seen by the hospital and they are not concerned.

Thank you. Yes, as its a listed side effect I didn't think they'd be too interested. Will see how it develops in the next few days and if it goes down on its own. Thank you!

My lymph node in my neck has swollen, it seems a few people have experienced this. Also the medical staff pointed it out to my auntie in Scotland that this is a known side effect so don't think it's too rare. I was vaccinated on Sunday.

Female relative had this issue, lasted for about a week and a half but she is OK now. Hope yours eases soon.
