A question for anyone who’s had to isolate due to family member having Covid.

Apologies if this has been asked previously but I’ve looked and not 100% .
During your isolation period did anyone else get symptoms and test positive? If so I’ve looked online and assuming that the person testing positive has to do another 10 days from symptoms but the rest of household can end isolation as long as no symptoms?
If that’s correct do you have the link for this on gov website if possible .
Also do test and trace update the time and notify you ?

I tested positive and the rest of the family (DH and DC x 4) isolated for 10 days. No-one else developed symptoms and our isolation ended after 10 days. Test and trace rang every couple of days and on the last day.
