Can you stay in self catering accommodation from 12th April?

Have I got this right?
My parents are looking to come up and visit, but stay in an air b&b on 14th April.
Just making sure this is allowed and I’m correct? The ever changing rules are confusing.

Yes. Although it is not confirmed yet so could get delayed.

But expecting no delays to roadmap ahead of May elections Wink

NeedATan · 28/03/2021 13:10

Yes. I own a holiday let cottage and we are reopening on 12th April to single-household bookings.

ChocOrange1 · 28/03/2021 18:08

Yes that's the expectation and likely to go ahead.

Coasterfan · 28/03/2021 18:09

Yes you can as long as nothing changes, we have a self catering theme park break booked that week!

Parentpower20 · 28/03/2021 18:11

Yep. All okay if self contained.

JamesAnderson · 28/03/2021 18:15

And single household
Figgygal · 28/03/2021 18:16

Yes single households can do overnights in self catering accommodation from 12th

It’s not hard to find that information though op and it’s been that message since mid February when roadmap was announced so it’s not exactly hard to keep up with the rules changing at the moment

Assuming they don’t delay easing of course

Frazzled2207 · 28/03/2021 18:16

Yes but this easing doesn’t seem to be 100% confirmed. I think looking highly likely tho.

XenoBitch · 28/03/2021 18:17

Does single house hold mean people in your bubble? I am going away with my mum in May.. we don't live together but she is my support bubble. Although there is no official way to document or verify this anyway.

I am off in with my mum in May and we had an email confirmation from the holiday company that it was still going ahead.
BramStoker · 28/03/2021 18:21

Yes as long as the accommodation is self contained and only a single household bubble allowed
@XenoBitch I have no idea what evidence you could be expected to provide to prove you are in a bubble, it might be worth emailing the owner to clarify

They haven't asked, and there is no possible evidence you could provide anyway.

Are multiple family groups, each staying in their own self contained accommodation but at the same resort allowed??

Yes. It would not be breaking any rules if you rent one cottage, and your brother & his family rented another cottage, & you met up outdoors...
Bordois · 28/03/2021 18:28

Ah, that's good - we normally do a big family caravan holiday every year, last years was cancelled so we were looking go use the credit this year.

That would be the case at any holiday resort surely. I don’t think you’d be allowed to socialise indoors though.
