Anyone else done vaccinator training to then be told they're not needed?

My sister applied for a vaccinator job, spent hours doing the online training, had all her references and DBS check done and yesterday received a standard email saying that they have enough vaccinators and will be removing her details from the system.

Has anyone else had this? I understand that there's too many vaccinators, but why remove her details, as she might be needed in the future?

Under data protection personal information can be collected for reasons stated when it is collected, and retained for no longer than it is required

If the positions are all filled then they may no longer have a valid reason to retain the data, therefore it must be deleted

They should only retain it for the future if that had been stated originally

I'm waiting to hear from a lead employer. I had an email saying someone would be in contact regarding shifts and uniform etc. But that was now 4 weeks ago so I expect I will get a similar email to your sister soon.
