Have the government said when they will confirm if the next stage of easing can go ahead?

Just that really. I want to do some things with the kids in the Easter holidays but the venues aren't taking bookings yet. I'm wondering if they are waiting until the 12th April easing is confirmed so wondering when that will be.

I believe it was one week before each date, so the 5th.

Easter holidays are going to be nearly over then, aren't they?!

JanFebAnyMonth · 26/03/2021 07:11

Some schools don't go back til 19th April

It's the second week of the holidays, so halfway through, rather than nearly over.

For some.

Some school break up today, but many others break up next Thursday.

My school is the latter, so we're hoping to be able to visit zoos etc during the second week.

We're booked in for camping from the 15th! So fingers crossed!

grafittiartist · 26/03/2021 07:26

I suspect that is why it's planned for the 12th- so that kids are back at school.
If we relax over Easter- it would be quite a jump from nothing open to lots and busy.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 26/03/2021 07:26

I thought they said 2 weeks before to give enough notice?

Loads of kids aren't back at school though, about half the schools aren't back until the 19th.

That was for schools opening I think.
AlexandraEiffel · 26/03/2021 07:31

My understanding is it's 4 weeks of data plus 1 week notice. Hence the 5 weeks. So I'm expecting 5th to know for sure. That said the government seem to trail info ahead a lot so I reality I'd expect to have a good idea sooner.

No doubt some variant from outer Mongolia will pop up on the 11th and push it back again nothing would surprise Me any more
