Advice the daughter tomorrow

RevolvingPivot · 23/03/2021 19:38

Hi. I've had the results back for one daughter but not the other.

Dd1 was negative. I've been told she can go back to school tomorrow.

Not had results back for dd2 yet. Both were sent off at the same time.

I thought we all had to isolate until all tests were negative.

Please can anyone advise. Obviously dd2 stays home but what about dd1?

Thanks

Did they have symptoms?

RevolvingPivot · 23/03/2021 19:39

No they didn't I did.

Our primary school says to keep all siblings off until all negative test results are back in. Hopefully you’ll get a result during the night

I feel daft posting but I've looked online.

You would have thought there would be a question and answer list somewhere.

Are you still waiting for your results?

LampHat · 23/03/2021 19:41

Have you had your test result? Surely that’s the one that needs to be negative?

Comefromaway · 23/03/2021 19:45

If you had symptoms then as long as your test is negative and you no longer have symptoms everyone can go back to work and school.

Iknowtheanswer · 23/03/2021 19:45

Were you negative? If so, then she won't need to isolate surely?

DarcyLewis · 23/03/2021 19:47

If you have symptoms then their tests are irrelevant - you’re all waiting on your results.

RevolvingPivot · 23/03/2021 19:53

Mine was negative yes

I think you’re all good then SmileSmile

RevolvingPivot · 23/03/2021 20:01

Ok I don't know why but I thought I had to keep her off.

If you were the only one who had symptoms, only you needed to take the test and the rest of the household isolate until your results came back.

Comefromaway · 23/03/2021 20:22

@Rhapus123

Agree, this is what you should have done.
AmelieTaylor · 23/03/2021 20:50

Yeah, you're confusing yourself!

The reason there's not an answer online is because you didn't follow the guidelines & end up down a 'no exit' road 🤣

They didn't have symptoms, so didn't need testing, only you. You're negative (thankfully💐) they can go back to school.

RevolvingPivot · 23/03/2021 21:06

Found out earlier that youngest has to isolate as someone in her class has tested positive so just the eldest to go back.

I did phone 119 and said it's only me with the symptoms. Next time I'll just order the one. Thanks.

If you still don't have the results, call up with your test cases and ask just in case your details got lost.

RevolvingPivot · 23/03/2021 21:13

I did they said they can't look into it until 6 days after I sent it back. I was concerned as lots of kids in her class / year are off with it and I don't want to be yet another to pass it on.
