If you have had your second dose of vaccine did you get the same side effects?

I just wondered whether the side effects were the same?
Or has your body adjust to the jab the first time or does it build up in your system so the second one gives more symptoms.
Thanks in advance.

I had 2nd Pfizer last week.
Arm hurt for 2 days, that was it.

Arm was worse, and had headache and feeling ‘off’ and a bit brain foggy after first.

Alfaix · 20/03/2021 06:22

No side effects after 2nd- AZ.
AZ seems to have more side effects after first and after second ok- Pfizer is the other way round.

wintertime6 · 20/03/2021 06:26

I had the same exhaustion for 48 hours or so and sore arm the second time, but didn't get the headache that I had the first time.

pinguwings · 20/03/2021 06:33

Pfizer - no effects from the first- more tired and achey all over from the second, but only lasted 48 hours.

Seems to be the pattern for a lot of people.

BigButtons · 20/03/2021 07:22

I had the AZ first jab on Thursday and have felt utterly wretched- enough to make me very scared of going though it again with the second jab.
So has the Pfizer and had nothing but a mildly sore arm.
He is due his second jab in a couple of weeks and I am concerned it will be a different experience for him next time round. I am hoping that for me it will be a better experience next time round.

BigButtons · 20/03/2021 07:22

Meant dp had the Pfizer

SabrinaTheMiddleAgedBitch · 20/03/2021 07:47

I do hope the second jab is easier, had the astra zeneca at on 11:30 on Thursday and felt like death until this morning when its thankfully starting to ease off a little. Worth it and I will obviously get my second one but bloody hell, it wasnt pleasant!

Onmyown1 · 20/03/2021 07:48

I was awful for 2 days after my first AZ jab. Had my 2nd yesterday morning and was prepared to be in bed all weekend but I feel absolutely fine.

Reallybadidea · 20/03/2021 07:59

I had my 2nd Pfizer a few days ago. Slightly sore arm, less so than the first one. I'm really grumpy though, but I suspect that's lockdown more than the jab Grin

SophieB100 · 20/03/2021 08:23

@SabrinaTheMiddleAgedBitch
Exactly the same time as when I had the first dose of the AZ on Thursday and yes, I felt exactly like you - lousy until this morning, thank goodness. Really surprised by how strongly I reacted to the jab. Will have the second one though and fingers crossed less reaction.

AdaFuckingShelby · 20/03/2021 08:24

Same for me, sore arm and tired.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 20/03/2021 08:27

Sore arm on both for a few days. That was it.

I’m feeling very lucky.

whatisforteamum · 20/03/2021 08:59

Interesting thank you.I felt weird soon after jab and by the time I got home I was shivering and a bit queasy.I woke up warm at 5 am and felt better than I expected this morning.Anther relative had to be looked after when she had hers this week. She is young.

Pfizer
1st- no side effects
2nd- painful arm, swollen tender armpit on injection side.

IShouldProbablyHooverMore · 20/03/2021 09:13

Sore arm with both doses of Pfizer. First dose arm pain was much worse - I could barely lift it. No other side effects.
