Ive heard mixed things so I was just wondering what other people have been told. How long after having another vaccine do you need to wait until you have the covid vaccine?

7 days.

Which vaccine are you talking about?

For the flu jab, originally they said at least a week gap do it was easier to identify which vaccine had caused any side effects. They can be given together though.

What have you heard and why are you asking?

Yep, seven days.

Green book says 7 days. Top of p 14. This is the definitive vaccine advice for the U.K.

Just checked and the updated guidance applied to all vaccines not just the flu jab. Ideally seven days but sticking rigidly to waiting shouldn’t delay someone getting a covid jab. It’s because of knowing what’s causing side effects not any interaction between the vaccinations or concerns about it affecting the immune response.

Thank you everybody. I have Just started working with the nhs so had to have a routine vaccine last week and the nurse said to wait a week but my gp said to wait 2-3 weeks until I have the covid vaccine. I'm wanting to book but wasn't sure if I should wait another couple of weeks
