Are they currently doing physical PE in school?

What about other subjects such as design technology?

Those who are going in PE kits- how does this work when they get wet/muddy? Are they just expected to stay in wet/muddy clothes all day?

If it’s wet/muddy they take clothes to change into afterwards.

DS is only 12 and is at a middle school Y6/Y8, so they are not too sweaty and smelly yet!

Games is the last lesson of the day for DS1s year. I think they try to do this for as many years as poss. but there are only 5 days in a school day so I don't know which years get it as final lesson.
So they will come home wet and muddy, yes.
PE is in the morning once a fortnight. I imagine there is quite an unpleasant stench coming from the class for the rest of the day.
