Yay. I'd been checking every day. It's just dropped to 50 and over to book vaccine. I'm delighted.

FFS. I'm in Wales and our local GP is still on the 65-69 age group

minniemoocher · 17/03/2021 10:52

@Ultimatecougar can you not book on the nhs website? My gp is behind so we booked the nearest mass centre

Ultimatecougar · 17/03/2021 11:52

No the NHS website only accepts people with a GP in England

BronteGirl · 17/03/2021 12:16

Just booked mine this morning for next Monday. Hurrah!

catwithflowers · 17/03/2021 13:52

Mine is still saying I'm not eligible to book despite being over 50 😬

Think it depends on the postcode.

My sister who is 54 got notification last week and had the jab Monday at a mass vax site - her GP is still on 55-60's.

Not every mass site will be at the same stage though either.

I booked on the website and an hour later got a text from my GP offering me a vaccine . Presumably that just means that where i live is running at the national average speed for vaccine progression.

I didn't realise that you might still not get one if you are in a postcode where they are lagging. I thought that this was a way of giving everyone of 50+ the opportunity to book at a national centre even if their particular GP practice was still a bit behind.

Sorry to those who can't get an appointment yet.
