If I’m not having the vaccine, do I need to tell anyone?

Official I mean.

Still registered at doctors in UK despite moving to Europe last Oct. I’ve called and emailed to tell them I no longer live in the area but they haven’t removed me as a patient.

I’ve had several texts to invite me to book my vaccine but I can’t get into the uk to have it done so have to wait my turn over here but do I need to tell anyone I won’t be having it there?!

Have you actually asked your GP surgery to de-register you? Having the vaccine isn’t compulsory, so although you might get reminder letters, you aren’t obliged to officially state you aren’t getting it.

You’re not strictly supposed to stay registered at the GP if you move out of area for more than 3 months, so bear that in mind if you do let them know why you’re not getting it. Are you moving back to the same area any time soon?

I informed them I was leaving for at least 6m and they said I couldn’t stay registered and I need to contact them when I leave. No probs but they haven’t responded to any emails or calls (obviously they’re slightly busy right now...) and haven’t De registered me so not sure what to do but good to know I don’t need to let anyone else know

If you've tried, I'd just ignore. They won't book you an appt without contacting you so you're not taking up a a slot or wasting a vaccine
