Good news. My area has offered to all 50+ via the GP

I am still slightly too young I think, it is still telling me no, but I'll try once a week until it says yes :)

The independent website have just published an article saying they are expecting a surge of vaccines and most over 50s should receive their vaccines in the next couple of weeks.

I've just had the text and I'm 46 with no health conditions.

Still waiting for nearly 55 yo DH. Have tried every day for the last week! Our area is clearly not speeding through and the vaccine hub was shut over the weekend. You'd think it would be staffed 7 days a week

How frustrating @YetAnotherWalk . Just keep trying every day. Yesterday it didn't work for us, today it did.

Im having mine this week despite being mid 40s. There was a glitch in the system in this area and it let anyone aged 40+ book appointments but they've asked people still to attend if they booked rather than try to unpick it all and risk wasting slots.

Our area is open to anyone aged 50+ though in any event.

3rd time lucky for trying to arrange appointments but now booked in, thanks. Hopefully DH 51 might be able to book in as well.

My neighbour said it worked for age 50 just now.

Most people getting the jab under 40 who aren’t in group 6 are being invited by their GP led service and booking via that to GP led sites and NOT to the mass centres which use the national booking system online.

This is why there seem to be discrepancies. GP led services are at different points due to population age in area, efficiency and different supply levels.

People often don’t realise if they have been asked to book via national system or GO led system.

My Dh (52) with no underlying heath conditions had his on Saturday. He got a text from GP to say go online and book...

Says 55 and above on the link but if it lets you book under that age does that mean it’s valid?

Thank you - just booked mine (I'm 50). For some reason our local centre wasn't on there though, so I've go to drive eight miles or so.

My DH had a call from our surgery today. He's 53 and has got his booked for Thursday

Are you using the correct link to book? I’m not sure it’s area related. Link to book is below. It is not gps.

Sorry, just seen this @Bluntness100 he managed to book 24 hours after the front page of the website changed to 50+. He's having it at the end of the month.
