Pre vaccine paracetamol.

I’ve heard it on good authority that if you take paracetamol 2/3 hours before your vaccine it apparently curbs some onset side affects. I’m not sure if this applies to all vaccines though. Anyone else heard this and maybe tried it, due for my vaccine next tuesday and don’t usually take pain meds so don’t want to if it’s a waste of time

I took paracetamol before my AZ - made no difference, flu like symptoms.

Only took paracetamol, when my arm was aching too much.

I'm having my jab tomorrow morning. I saw a thread here last week saying not to take paracetamol before, and now there's this one saying the opposite. I take cocodamol most mornings for rheumatoid arthritis pain and will definitely need one tomorrow because it's really bad at the moment. Is it going to stop the vaccine working or not?

I don't know if it works but i took painkillers before mine and was absolutely fine apart from a horrendously sore arm for 7 days.
