If there was an issue, what are the clot symptoms?

IF, big IF, there was an issue, what would be the symptoms? DH had the Oxford jab this morning and whilst I've no doubt having it was the right decision, it feels prudent to know what to look out for vs, the more usual post jab feeling unwell symptoms.

Depends where the clot was

Lungs breathless chest pain
Legs. Pain swelling hot area possible
Brain stroke
(Obvs worst case)

But this blood clot thing is madness.

There are thousands of blood clot admissions every year so some are bound to be alongside vaccine and some are not.

It's always good to be aware of the symptoms of a blood clot in general life: www.nhs.uk/conditions/blood-clots/

But please remember there's no evidence AZ causes blood clots Flowers Hope your DH has no achey or other side effects :)

I've been wondering the same about symptoms to look for. My arm ended up hot, extremely sore, red (that spread) with a massive lump. I think it was cellulitis and I tried doing an e-consult form for a go appointment but instead it told me to seek help! Luckily the next day (after 4/5days of "cellulitis") it started feel a little bit better and apart from a smaller lump that's about 2" it's back to normal so I didn't seek help and now hoping the lump isn't signs of a clot.

After 17 million jabs, they're have been 37 reposts of clots - fewer than would be expected in that portion of the population.

As for symptoms of clots in general - it depends where one is. If you had one in the lungs you'd have trouble breathing. In the brain, a stroke. In the heart, a myocardial infarction. In the leg, pain redness and swelling.

But there's no reason to be more on the lookout for a clot in him than in you. Or at any other point of his life so far.

@strangeAddiction no, not a sign of a clot, just a local reaction. Fairly normal side effect of injections and nothing to worry about if its resolving. Smile
