Apologies if this has already been covered but I can’t see it anywhere recent - can anyone tell me the latest on whether or not vaccines are thought to stop transmission? I know it was a bit of a grey area when the vaccine rollout started, has there been any significant update?

Yes there has been. It seems to reduce transmission but not stop it.

Thanks, sounds hopeful.

Latest studies suggest that vaccines reduce transmission by c80% so more than hopeful!

However, the immediate household of CEV who were priority 6 for vaccine on November draft JCVI/MHRA priority list, were suspended from that priority pending further information on effect on transmission.

We've still not been reinstated
