How long is it taking to get test results back now?

DC had a temperature earlier and been off her food. I've booked a test for the morning, but last time (October), it took four days for the results to come through. I think it's a lot faster now. Any idea how long tests results are taking now?

Same here, postal test Thursday, still waiting.

What I don't understand is that it states after 24 hrs the sample might be unusable. If that's the case I really don't understand why its taking so long.

Its very frustrating.

We took part in surge testing this week. Tests collected from school on Thursday, results 8am Friday.

Ours took 25 hours.

I went to a walk-in at 11am yesterday and the result came back at 8.30 am today.

Walk in test centre. South east. Test at 10.30am Friday, results came through early hours of this morning (Sunday).

In Bristol - tested at 11.30am on Sunday, results back just after midnight that day, so about 12 hrs which is great.

We had a drive in test (satellite centre) on Friday morning, results back yesterday afternoon so 30 hours. (south West)

11:30am test on Saturday.... still waiting at 42.5hours. So annoyed 😒

Daughter did postal test Friday lunchtime, confirmation that test was delivered by Royal mail at 21:35 on Friday. Still waiting for results now

DH took one yesterday morning at 9:15 in South London. We are also still waiting.

Negative result finally came after eating 84 hours!

Finally got our negative results after 43 hours!

28 hrs here (drive through) and my DS is waiting for post results- been 40 hours from the collection so far.

I'd been waiting 45 hours so called 119 as read on another post that someone chased theirs & turns out the test hadn't been registered.
My test hadn't been registered either. They did it there & then & results were through in 5 minutes.

Mine took about 45 hours last week - way longer than I have had to wait in the past. Negative luckily.
