Group 6 health condition - do you have to prove it?

I got my NHS text this morning and booked both appointments online. But it didn't say I have to bring anything along - do they need evidence of medical stuff?

Dd didn’t have to.

SendMeHome · 14/03/2021 21:58

No.

MRex · 14/03/2021 22:07

I don't think so, but you can show the text if you are asked (and suggest they debate it with your GP, who knows your actual medical history).

I didn't have to show any proof but they asked a few questions - how I knew I was eligible (text from GP in my case) and what my specific health condition was.

ittakes2 · 14/03/2021 23:26

I was invited by GP and no one asked me any questions about why I was in group 6 at a vaccine hub.

cabbageking · 14/03/2021 23:51

Just take any booking confirmation.

Was asked if I was taking any blood thinning meds and one other question I can't recall about medication.
Confirmed address and date of birth and that was it.

Never asked why I qualified.

LouiseTrees · 15/03/2021 00:13

I’m hoping they don’t ask me why I’ve qualified as I have no clue why I’m being called now. Couple of different theories to be honest but they are related to childhood illness I no longer suffer from and meds I was taking for ivf that are sometimes given to diabetics.

I’m hoping that just showing them the text from the NHS will be enough.

butterry · 15/03/2021 00:27

I didn’t have to show anything at all, was expecting to at least show ID or confirmation of booking. They only asked some screening questions and name, DOB

My husband took along his repeat prescription which had his nhs number in it, but it wasn’t needed, he booked through the text from GP. I booked mine through nhs website and when I arrived I needed the booking reference number.

NHS number and booking ref no (at a vaccination hub) will make process a bit quicker.

No other info, like why you should be in which group, is required. It's a sausage factory: they have no time or interest in how or why you got an appointment.

Bayleaf25 · 15/03/2021 13:07

No, didn’t take anything.

Dementedswan · 15/03/2021 13:14

Didn't take anything, wasn't asked for any ID either. But my GP booked mine and it was in a GP hub. I was actually vaccinated by a retired doc from my practice that knew me.

MRex · 16/03/2021 18:19

I had to show my text invite 3 times. Lots of questions to confirm my identity and why I was there. Jabbed all the same, but best to take your invite with you.

Lovingmylife · 16/03/2021 18:29

Yep I needed to show my text invite several times. Thanks all
