When you order a test from the government, how long do the results take please?

Just that really-has anyone had one? .

How long after ordering a test do you get one, how long then does it take them to email the result (I think they email it)?

I ordered mine on Friday morning
It arrived on Saturday
I sent it back on Saturday and got the result on Monday morning

Mine took a few days to arrive, and a few days once I'd posted it to get the result.But wasted a tiny bit of time as I didn't realise there would be a Sunday collection (there was, for the tests). I was self isolating for around 5 days in total waiting. They seem to use Amazon to deliver them, and then you put it in a Royal Mail postbox to send back.

I've had two tests.

One was at 18:30 just before I left after 24 hours in hospital, the result arrived by text and email at 07:30 the next day.
The second was a home test. I put it in the post box at 13:00 and got the result by text and email the next morning at 07:00

Ordered mine Thursday, it arrived Friday and I sent it back about 3pm Friday. Got my results by text 6am Sunday. I was impressed!

Ordered Friday, got the test on Saturday and had the result early Sunday afternoon

Ordered Tuesday.
Arrived weds, did test, collection 4pm
Results in a text Thursday 7pm

Are you talking about lateral flow tests, as you said email them?
