Vaccine booking letter but unable to book - anyone else?

I received a letter today inviting me to book my vaccine - I assume it's as a mental health service user (perinatal MH service for PND).

I tried to book online but it said I wasn't eligible, so I rang the 119 line and got told the same thing. The man on the phone didn't seem to know anything and said that only the over 55s and frontline health/social care workers were eligible. He hadn't heard of the mental health category.

I'm perfectly happy to wait for my age bracket (over 40s) because I don't feel particularly vulnerable, but I just wondered if this had happened to anyone else. Should I just ignore the letter and throw it away, or should I pursue it?

When is the letter dated? It usually takes a day or so for the system to update once letter has been generated.

Ah, ok. It's dated 3rd March so I assume that's enough time, but I could try again in a couple of days.

Rang my doctor today and booked vaccine for him as he received a letter this morning.

It might be an invite from your mental health trust. Some are vaccinating their patients as there is concern they might not respond to the national programme
