I had my first AstraZeneca vaccination on Friday. I have had absolutely no side effects, not even a sore arm!!

Should I be worried it’s not going to work??!! I so stressed about everything!!!

I had no side effects from AZ either. DH had sore arm and slight headache after Pfizer. The only people of the many I know who had any real side effects were my 27 year old son and a 50 year old female friend.

My DM had hers yesterday morning and has had a bit of a sore arm but no other side effects. She had the Oxford jab. The majority will have no side effects, but you'll only hear about the ones that do which blows it out of proportion.

I know of 8 over 70’s and 1 50yr old (CEV) people who have had the vaccine. One person had a slight sore arm for a few hours the next day and one person had pins and needles in their hand for about half an hour the next day.

Side effects are more common with people that have had covid.

So, if you didn't get them with your first dose, you might with the second.

My father 91 had no side effects and none of the people of his age who live in his protected housing unit did either. However, I am still feeling fluey and two of my friends who had the jab at the same time are as well. Luck of the draw.

I was quite surprised - it didn't occur to me that I would get symptoms.
