….. but I've just had the nicest day in months.
Drove to meet a friend, two and a half hour walk though the park, stopped for a coffee and a cheese toastie while we were there - and just chatted for a couple of hours, all socially distant.
We speak on the phone regularly, but phone conversations are generally more specific than general chat.
I did go into the house before I drove home, to use the loo, and we had a cup of tea in the garden (the illegal bit) - but sooo worth it. (and we've both been vaccinated).
Feel so much happier and lighthearted.

Anyone else done anything really enjoyable recently?

Sorry. Messed up making your post bold Jump! Haven’t mastered the art yet!

OverTheRainbow88 · 10/03/2021 18:04

We went to a birthday party in the playground! 😱

JumpOnAPlane · 11/03/2021 04:58

OTT?

I do not think my actions/reaction in the store were unreasonable. I was just doing my best in the situation I found myself in at the time.

It doesn't mean I am a bad person nor do I reckon I deserve any negative comments about trying in the circumstances to protect myself and others.

Jeez, some people can be so unnecessarily toxic. Get a grip.

I’m pretty sure Lidl sell face masks by the checkout.Grin

HugeAckmansWife · 11/03/2021 06:39

If you'd said I went and bought a packet of masks, fine, but to be frantically searching about and tying t shirts round your face in case you're mask less for all of 5 minutes is OTT and a bit hysterical in my opinion. I think it's toxic that so many people have allowed themselves to be led into situation where its illegal to sit on a bench in the open air or be fined for being an unspecified' local' distance from home. People have lost all perspective on this.

  1. Sounds like you need to chill out a bit. Maybe look into different types of meditation, relaxing breathing exercises or perhaps Tai Chi - there are some good beginner free classes on YouTube.
  1. I am really pleased with the purchase of the pack of two t-shirts. Lovely soft 100% cotton - very nice to wear in bed and an absolute bargain price. Thanks LIDLSmile
HugeAckmansWife · 12/03/2021 18:39

I'm perfectly chilled thanks. Taught two mediation classes today in fact. It's not me ripping open stuff I haven't paid for yet in a panic about being without a thin layer of cotton that does mostly fuck all.

HugeAckmansWife · 12/03/2021 18:40

Meditation not mediation!! 🙏

ChameleonClara · 12/03/2021 18:43

You shouldn't post about rule breaking, you are seeking validation.

I think you did the wrong thing, I wouldn't do that myself.

HermioneWeasley · 12/03/2021 18:44

Good for you. Ignore the miserable lockdown lovers - the point of this life destroying experiment was to protect the NHS, you’re both vaccinated so risk of transmission or even getting ill are negligible. Enjoy yourself.

Of course you did petal.

'Mediation' was clearly just a slip of your very relaxed mind/tongue/finger.

HugeAckmansWife · 12/03/2021 19:46

I actually did teach 2 classes today. Sorry to derail your sarcasm. I'm not remotely in need of 'chilling', just educating my autocorrect clearly! 😁

loulouljh · 12/03/2021 19:48

Sounds like a marvellous day!!!!! Good on you...

GintyMcGinty · 12/03/2021 19:53

Lol at the crazy t-shirt story. What has the world come to.

I've been doing a lot of gardening recently and that feels pretty normal. Its nice with the weather being a bit nicer. Jealous of the people living in places where garden centres are open.

I also meet my sister and parents for illegal walks and have had a few illegal dinners indoors with my parents.
