I'm 59 and booked this morning.

I'm 56 and got a text from the GP surgery with a link to book the test. No underlying conditions, normal BMI. I was quite surprised, but have booked for next week.

I meant to book the vaccination!!!

Is this information from ringing the number?
It still says over 60's on the NHS website, can't find any updated info for over 55's

The website still said over 60 but DH and I were able to book for next week. We are 56.

I could not do this earlier in the day.

44 and got the text to book today. Booked for Sunday. No idea why. They do seem ahead of schedule locally though.

Zesting, the system often updates behind the scenes before the front page is updated. 119 recommend people just try to book by inputting their data. It won't allow you if you're not eligible, but often the age group below that being shown is being let through.
It's a way to manage the system and not be flooded with everyone all at once and recognises some will be keen and get on quickly, some like you might not want to book until the front page shows and others not until they have received a letter 10 days later or not even then and need following by up GPs later still.

It's up to you. You can input hit data and se if you can book or wait a bit longer. Rest assured you won't be able to que jump accidentally as it won't let you through if not eligible.

@WombatChocolate thats good to hear, it's actually for my parents and I know they won't want to book until it's all 'proper' and it says they can, But if i can just sort it for them it'll be quicker and easier.

Thank you so much for this. I have just gone online and booked both 1st and 2nd appointments, starting next week. Obviously I could have waited but DH had his a couple of weeks ago and I would prefer that our final vaccinations are not so far apart. Also I have 2 DC returning from uni 2 weeks after my 1st jab so feel less concerned that they could bring home more than their washing!

Booked in for the 17th.I'm just under 60 and the system only opened up this morning. That was the first available date so looks like a)they need next week to get through 60-65 and/or b) they know they will have good supply in about a week.

I booked a family member in who is 59, hadn't seen the threads on here so was surprised it let me through!

I'm 55 and just tried. It was a no.

I called probably after 12 lunchtime.
Maybe the phone number people are better at updating the age than the website.
I imagine it's england only.

Maybe they update it to allow it then tell their mates so they can get in first?

I'm trying to book for DH and get to a screen that asks if he's got the flu vaccine booked. Goes to next screen and it's blank and wont reload

Those who are 55 are group 9 and not 8. It's only today that most 56-60 have been able to book.

It might not be long. Keep looking,mbut will probably be at least a few days...remember group 9 to be offered by mid April, still 6 weeks off...lbut looking like they are ahead.

Group 8 is 55 years and over, group 9 is 50 years and over.

DH is 59. However can't get the site to work now
