Anyone in group 6 still NOT able to book online?

The NHS vaccination booking site www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/ has been updated to allow booking by group 6 (clinically volnurable) as you can see in the description on the website with both clinically volnurable and clinically extremely volnureable listed. However, my husband who is in group 6 still cannot book after the question if he is a frontline health worker. Which makes me wonder if he is really flagged on the system as group 6 (according to GP's receptionist he is). Anyone else in the same situation?

I had my jab already but only because I called and asked if I am in group 6. Turned out I wasn't but they coded me and I got appointment. Without contacting them I would be waiting and waiting.

pepperaunt · 04/03/2021 14:10

I’m Group 6 and only had my invitation after I dropped a letter to my GP reminding them of my medications ( they’ve been AWOL throughout this)

edwinbear · 04/03/2021 14:43

Group 6 confirmed by text, by my GP. I still cannot book online, but did receive a text from my GP this morning, inviting me to book via their own link. I imagine they are updating Group 6 codes today/tomorrow so I would just keep trying.

Anawi · 04/03/2021 14:49

I know that some areas are not making group 6 available through the NHS online booking even though it is now an option. Some areas are only doing group 6 via GPs.

CxHB · 04/03/2021 14:51

I can't book and should be in group 6. My GP surgery says I'm coded right for dystonia but are still doing groups 3,4 and 5. They only updated their records last week though. I did opt out of NHS data sharing years and years ago which might be the problem. I opted back in a couple of weeks ago when I realised my mistake. So I think this might be my own fault...

OverTheRubicon · 04/03/2021 14:52

Yup, I have reduced kidney function and still no sign of it. GP says not to contact them about vaccines, all really unhelpful.

Wakemeuuuup · 04/03/2021 14:57

I can't either.

TunMahla · 04/03/2021 14:58

Thanks for confirming that it is not just us then! Time to get more patient again after feeling hopeful this morning.

No dp still not able to, pretty sure he'll get it on age grounds first. Doctors is struggling because we have a very large retired population here

CxHB · 04/03/2021 15:33

This thread has made me feel a bit better somehow! Thanks Smile

Northernsoulgirl45 · 04/03/2021 15:52

I booked today. Just been added to group 6 as dole carer ECV dh.

TransplantedScouser · 04/03/2021 15:56

Me. 44 obese and should be group 6.

Might phone my gp tomorrow

Woodandsky · 04/03/2021 15:58

I just got my jab at the gp hub after receiving a text yesterday, but am still not on the national system.

iambarelyhuman · 04/03/2021 16:01

I have never had any confirmation that I am in Group 6 but presumed I am due to health condition. I checked the site every day and it always said that I was not eligible until yesterday when it let me book and I am having my jab on Sunday. I am 51 Grin

TheGriffle · 04/03/2021 16:03

Dh should be in group 6 for his bmi. I apparently was and have had my vaccine today. No word on Dh though and he is older than me. I keep telling him he needs to phone them but he won’t.

TheGriffle · 04/03/2021 16:03

I booked mine through a text from the gp though not the nhs link.

FenceSplinters · 04/03/2021 16:04

I’m group six, and it finally let me book yesterday. It also let me book my partner’s jabs, although he is not group 6.

itsgettingwierd · 04/03/2021 16:06

I've just tried for ds who is confirmed group 6

I got the message that he's been allocated a vaccination not available through that service.

I wonder if it's because he's 16 and can only have the pfiezer one?

WombatChocolate · 04/03/2021 16:14

At this point, if you are sure you are group 6 (have looked at ch14a in the Green book which lists the conditions) and you still can’t book on the national system, which says Group 6 eligible to book on it, calling the GP seems entirely acceptable and not harassing anyone at all.

If you don’t, especially if you’re a lot younger, you might find it’s the difference between being done in the next couple of weeks and it being the end of June/July.

People do have to wait for their jab, but if they believe they are in the category now booking and can’t, a phone call seems entirely reasonable.

Londontown12 · 04/03/2021 16:21

Newly diagnosed with a condition I had to message dr surgery to let them know about the medications I’ve been taking ect ect they rang me back and G.p said yes I should be vaccinated sometimes a message online will get their attention x

CxHB · 04/03/2021 16:31

My GP left reception a message to give me, they didn't really know much though so when I asked if I was in group 6 they thought I probably was but also didn't know what it was. I've checked though and other people with dystonia are in group 6. I think something has gone wrong but it sounded like I'd annoyed the GP by asking so I don't want to ask them again! I have a shielding family member at home (they've had theirs though thankfully) and the whole thing has left me a bit stressed.

BurningBenches · 04/03/2021 16:43

Can't here. DH is group 6. Our surgeries won't answer questions on whether people are in Group 6 or vaccines generally, and they're doing in descending age order. So he has a couple of weeks at least. So frustrating when the children are back at school next week.

FenceSplinters · 04/03/2021 17:10

@BurningBenches has your dh tried online? I was able to book online yesterday (group six).

OverTheRubicon · 04/03/2021 17:30

You'd think it would be reasonable! However I was firmly told of by our GP receptionist who said she'd 'make a note'. With the massive 40+ group starting soon and my kids going back to school with rates v high here, I'm going to make an appointment and say it's confidential and then ask them then.
BurningBenches · 04/03/2021 17:40

@fenceSplinters yeah tried again today. It just asks if he's a health care worker, no cev/CV option
