Smokey taste but no loss of smell/taste?

Today I've had a subtle smokey/metallic taste lingering in my mouth. Faint, but there enough for me to notice it (but not all the time).

I can smell absolutely fine and taste things no problem.

Should I get a test?

On that alone personally I wouldn’t. I get all sorts of weird tastes in my mouth. I would only get a test if you have a loss or smell or taste. Many many things can cause a funny taste in mouth.
