Can’t get out of bed

I’ve been in bed all day because I feel so low. There’s no point getting up because there’s nowhere to go and nothing to do that I haven’t done a zillion times already. I’m just waiting for 6pm when at least it’s socially acceptable to have a glass of wine. How much longer will this go on for???

This won't go on forever. And 4pm is acceptable to drink wine. In my house anyway xx

The timing of 'beer o'clock' is entirely dependent on how shit the day has been Grin

I know how you feel. Several times over the past few weeks I've woken up at around 7 and thought I should get up. Then I fell asleep again and woke up around 9 or even 10. I felt happy because that was 2 or 3 hours fewer to get through. Can't believe this has been going on for almost a year.

It’s so depressing walking through my town and seeing almost everything closed, I hate it. Really gets me down.

I’ve been alright for ages but since January it’s really got to me. I’m struggling so badly.

I'm pretending to do the 16:8 diet regime but, in reality, it is just to give me an excuse to stay in bed for 16 hours.Blush

This feeling will pass, possibly like kidney stones, but it will pass.

Grin Thanks for the laugh @FinallyFluid - I never thought I'd laugh at kidney stones!

Nothing wrong with sleeping in so there's less day to kill. Just stay healthy, and wait for the light at the end of the tunnel!

Almost there now.I think this is the hardest bit waiting to go back to some activities. It will happen.

I’m not so sure - I was feeling positive and suddenly boom, there’s a new variant. Does that mean the lockdown exit plan will be delayed?

I know the feeling. Taking more MH meds than ever before- one to get up,another at lunch to get through the day and another at night.

RosieLemonade · 02/03/2021 16:17

Try not to worry too much @gingerbr3ad. Only 6 people in the whole of Scotland and England had it and 5 of them have isolated properly and there is no proof number 6 hasn't.
There was an article today in the papers saying focus needs to move away from variants.
