Lymph nodes sore and swollen 12 days after Pfizer jab

Anyone else had this? I feel generally run down and fatigued as well but the lymph node pain is bothering me. Seems to be my left armpit and left inner elbow. Enlarged glands too. Skin on left inner elbow is sensitive to touch as well. I've not felt quite right since having the jab, starting to worry a bit now...

I'm twelve days out and feeling similar. Lymph node on injection arm is swollen. I still feel mildly unwell.

Been 2 weeks since jab now and still my under arm is so sore and lumpy. Woken up this morning with shooting pain down my arm in to my outer wrist and little finger. I'm so achy and tired. And incredibly stressed. I can't even wear a bra or sleep on my side my lymph nodes are so sore. Gp says possibly vaccine response, possibly some other viral thing, possibly shingles(!) Sad

Oh bless you OP. Sorry you're still struggling. At least you've spoken to the GP.

Barefootinthecarpark · 04/03/2021 11:44

Yep, my mate has this. Try not to worry.

Thank you both. Paracetamol is helping me feel better in myself but not touching the pain in my left arm & armpit. So painful. A friend was reading an article yesterday that said it can take 6 weeks to calm down. It's really put me off having the second one.

How are you feeling now @MoonshineWashingLine ? I hope you’re feeling better. I’ve just been searching mumsnet after similar symptoms. Spoke to a GP yesterday on the phone, and he said he thinks it’s a delayed response to the vaccine. I had the AZ vaccine on the 8th and didn’t feel too bad at all until my lymph nodes popped up after ten days and I started to generally feel a bit bleurgh. Hope it doesn’t last long.

2boysand1princess · 24/04/2021 16:58

That’s just a normal reaction though. I had Pfizer almost 7 weeks ago. Had no side effects, but got swollen nodes about 14 days after, which was totally expected as my body built immunity.

DaniO2 · 27/04/2021 16:13

Well, I was concerned mainly due to the delayed reaction. Most things I've read about the vaccines (on the NHS site and the leaflet I received) state side effects last for a few days.

How long did it take for your lymph nodes to return to normal @2boysand1princess ?

Within a week. Mine didn’t become swollen u til about day 11ish. They became very sore and swollen too, however I knew it was just my body building up immunity and responding to the vaccine. Within a week they were back to normal.

Thanks @2boysand1princess hopefully mine won't take long to get back to normal too.

I’ve got this now 7 days after first Pfizer

Anyone know how long it may last ?
