How long for at home covid test results?

I wondered how long it took to get test results for those who have had the covid test posted to their home via Royal Mail.

How long after posting it into the Royal Mail priority boxes?

Also, is it easy to not do the test correctly?

I really struggled to follow the instructions for the mouth part, as each time I tried I gagged and got to a stage where if I had tried again I would have thrown up. The nose part I was fine with.

The swab was covered though, so hopefully I will never have to do that again ever.

Ours were 24h after going in the postbox (on a Sunday).

Ours were collected both times from the post box at 5pm and we got the results at 6am 37 hours later, I did both nostrils on my dd's one as she is five and no issues, didn't come back inconclusive or anything.

That's really good.
I posted mine at around 1pm yesterday so will see what comes back.
I don't think it will be positive, but who knows.

My son posted his on a Monday and got results Wednesday evening, so just over 2 days, that was a couple of weeks ago.

Posted my husband's at about midday Wednesday last week and had results by 11am Thursday - so just under 24 hrs

This is good to know, we did tests via post yesterday. It said the post box collection was scheduled for 4pm so I could be lucky and get results today 🤞
