Can we have an "all being well when can we do X" thread?

I may be misreading some things but for example:
When can children's indoor classes start again?
What about Scouting if it's outside? Inside?
Travelling to outdoor attractions (e.g. NT gardens) that have actually been open all along?
I'm sure there are others!

I've got a hair appointment booked for 13th April.

I'm counting the days!

My hair dresser got booked up to the 30th April in about 30 mins of announcing the appointments are open

drspouse · 27/02/2021 08:26

Mine announced if we'd missed an appointment they'd be in touch. I missed one in Lockdown 2 so I'm not sure what to do now!

The Scottish care home visits with 2 per week sounds better than England - there was someone saying they travel quite some distance to see their elderly relative so can't be sure who should be their one visitor.

I think Scotland have got the schools reopening better.

Tempted to book the 29th off work so I can go see my friend who I've not seen since a doorstep present drop at Christmas.

I can't wait to be able to go see my friend who's got 2 conditions which make them vulnerable. I've not met them since last July when we sat in the garden.
I think she either wants us to have had our 1st vaccine or for her 2nd though so hopefully may!

I'm looking forward to going to the next town to the weigh it out/zero waste shop. On the one hand it's not local, on the other hand it's essential supplies. I suspect it's just 29 th March

When can hand car washes / valet reopen?

UnbeatenMum · 27/02/2021 14:40

When can I take a holiday with extended family from more than 2 households?

I think this is OK to do now. Unless there's another zero waste shop closer to you?

Mainly because I had run out of toothpaste today so went to mine which isn't the closest town. Although the difference is tiny & I also wanted tesco rather than aldi which is the closest.

See my grandchildren. Sad
Perform live
Go home to the road.

drspouse · 28/02/2021 08:21

Captain It's in another county so it's definitely not local. I'm just going with more plastic temporarily.

Travelling should be soon if you have your own van and it's just your household? Good luck, I follow Roadside Mum on Twitter and she's been stuck in a house for a year now.

Not till 21 June.
delilahbucket · 28/02/2021 09:00

I want to get back to choir and performing (too many of us so we're still stuck on zoom, I want to have my honeymoon trip in North Yorkshire at Spring Bank and then I want my wedding in August which has now been arranged three times. I was feeling hopeful about it all at the beginning of the week but the constant "we should stay in lockdown forever" brigade harping on is wearing me down.

Ah fair enough mines a choice of 2 mile one way or 3 the other & both towns are in the same council.

Hairdressers have been mobbed. I booked as soon as Boris announced the dates and managed to get 12 April but this is a snazzy salon.

PumpkinPie2016 · 28/02/2021 13:56

I have a hair appointment booked for 24th April - I am counting the days!

My parents are hopeful for a trip to France this Summer.

I booked a holiday in Devon this morning for the first two weeks of the Summer holidays. Hoping all goes to plan and things will be normal then (from 21st June it's supposed to be social distancing laws end).

I am desperately hoping that we can teach as normal in school in September (I teach secondary), kids using labs/proper rooms etc.

MoMuntervary · 02/03/2021 20:17

I could really do with taking the kids to my mum's for childcare on the 12th April. They'd have to stay over for a week as she lives over 100 miles away. I know I couldn't stay, but is it allowed for
child care purposes? Can't take both weeks off Sad

Howshouldibehave · 02/03/2021 20:28

So, no going inside anywhere with anyone you don’t live with until May 17th, is that right? Then you can have rule of 6/two households indoors in house/pub/restaurant (unless it’s an indoor event when you can have 1000Grin)?

drspouse · 02/03/2021 21:28

If it's for the whole week I don't see why not. My aunt has been travelling a few hours as carer for my other aunt - she sorts out all those admin and fixing things type jobs and does a big shop (I think she orders a delivery for intervening weeks too).

Thanks @drspouse It would be so helpful, my mum really wants to help out (and it would make my life so much easier) but she also wants to stay within the rules. I've found it difficult to work out whether this is allowed or not, so useful to have some MN wisdom!

Donatella · 03/03/2021 12:53

Childcare bubbles are absolutely allowed to include overnight stays, that has always been allowed (well since they invented childcare bubbles anyway!)

drspouse · 03/03/2021 12:56

Yes indeed, just as long as you aren't in another childcare bubble (or you stop using that one).

Anyone know if we are allowed to travel to beaches/beauty spots yet (if not, when) or is it still very much stay local?
