How long after covid jab did your symptoms subside?

I was wondering for those who have had either az or pfizer, how long after you felt better if you had any adverse reactions?

Also, did you get a fever with your symptoms?

I have a hospital appt (long overdue) Tuesday and am wondering whether to get my jab tomorrow and risk being unwell for my appt or wait until after. Thanks!

I had the AZ at about 8.45am, side effects started around 4pm. No fever, just headache, shivering, tiredness, nausea, aching.
I'd say it lasted about 24 hours, but improving slowly all that time.
I still felt queasy for a couple of days afterwards, but didn't stop me going shopping etc (and I tend to feel queasy at the drop of a hat anyway, so might just be me!)
But lots more people don't have side effects than those who do. The leaflet I was given quoted 1 in 10 I think.
Sensible to be prepared for them though, just in case.

I had Pfizer, felt fine on the first day, bit achy on day 2 but not too bad but day 3 had upset stomach and felt tired and queasy. Small price to pay and glad I had it on a Friday, wouldnt put me off having it again.

Partner had the Oxford one. Never had any side effects.

I had AZ jab on Tuesday. Sore dead weight feeling arm within a couple of hours but felt fine. Weds and Thurs just felt really tired but no headache nausea etc. Today feeling practically back to normal just pain at the top of my arm if I reach up.

Jab weds, aching joints and headache yesterday, fairly mild but I felt sorry for myself and took a single paracetamol. Today I woke a bit ache-y, but fine now.

The jab isn’t going to kick in quickly enough to give you extra protection before Tuesday, it takes a couple of weeks, so logical thing would be to see if you could get your jab after the appointment.

I had the jab about 11.30. Felt ok ish for the rest of the day and felt ill from 5.30 the next morning. I felt better by 6pm that same day.

AZ at noon. Achy arm kicked in within an hour or so and lasted a couple of days. Massive fatigue started around 10pm and vanished around 11am the following day. No other symptoms. I'm in my early fifties. I had planned a day off so just stayed in bed until I felt better. If I'd really had to do something I'd have managed but wouldn't have wanted to.

I had Pfizer at noon, started a slight headache at 7pm, felt cold which went with Paracetamol
Woke up the next day feeling woozy and tired
Absolutely fine the day afterwards

I had AZ on Thursday, I’ve felt a bit tired since late Thursday night but not ill at all. Not sure I’d even have noticed if I hadn’t been thinking about it. Since this morning my arm is just slightly tender to touch.

Had AZ last Sunday 5pm, side effects kicked in overnight, felt rough Monday, Tuesday just aching arm and mild headache, Wed felt fine.

Had AZ at noon yesterday. Aching arm at about 9pm last night and slept all night, woke up today with headache and aches and have slept most of the day. Starting to feel better now.

After the first Pfizer I felt worse exactly 24 hours after the vaccine, so the next day around 5pm. It felt like a bizarre overlapping of every covid symptom at the same time (fatigue, achey head, nausea, tickly cough, dizziness) but it went away as fast as it came after a few hours. So it didn't feel like a proper cold or flu as it came and went so quickly. Took some paracetamol and was fine by evening.

After the second Pfizer (also 5pm) I felt side effects immediately but they were mild. Just had a fuzzy/achey head all evening like when you're coming down with a cold and it went away after some paracetamol before bed. Felt 100% fine the next morning and thank god for that since my toddler got a concussion and we ended up in A&E and were admitted overnight for observation. I would not have been allowed in with her if I had a fever and I was so glad for that.

I had the AZ, and was absolutely fine.
Not even a sore arm, let alone any illness.
Lots of others I've spoken to are the same.

Had the AZ last Monday at 3pm. Fine all Monday night. Aching all over, throbbing head, feeling fluey all day Tuesday but felt absolutely fine by Wednesday. I'm glad I had the jab on my week off as I couldn't have managed into work on Tuesday. I spent most of the day in bed.

I had mine today cold and shivery and have been sick.

Can i ask has anyone else had a mattakic taste in their mouth. I noticed it as i drove home

Yes I did for a few hours, happened straight after the vaccine (AZ) so strange.

I was quite unwell for over a week after the Surgery Pfizer vaccine. But I have extended Covid so that’s probably why. Still glad I had the vaccination.

I had mine this morning and feel terrible tired hot/cold stomach pains feel sick headache eyes watery but expecting to have gone by morning and it is worth it hopefully if life starts returning to a more normal state

I had Pfizer 3pm Thursday and was fine until 6 hot sweats till 11 then felt cold till 2pm. They went and I’ve felt exhausted and throat closing. Just rubbish. Hope I’ll well for work tomorrow. Putting me of the second one for sure
