Invited for vaccine before dp but hes vulnerable

Iwantacookie · 26/02/2021 11:08

I've just recieved my invite to book the vaccine.
On the letter it says I'm eligible because someone I care for (dp) is clinically vulnerable to covid.
Not only has dp not been invited for the vaccine this is the first time we have heard hes vulnerable to covid.
Has anyone else had this? Should he of been isolating since last March?

CEV (clinically exceptionally vulnerable, shield, priority 4 for vaccine) is not the same as CV (no shielding, priority 6 for vaccine)

Priority 6 should be underway by now - as you are logged as his carer (rather than cohabitant, who do not qualify) then his priority 6 status must also be in the system somewhere. You could try emailing or ringing your GP if he doesn't get an appointment soon

I would enter his details online on the vaccine booking page and see if it lets you book

I would second what mummabear74 says and log onto that website. I am almost 64. Husband 65 had his last week after phone notification. Friend suggested I did as they did and just log on. They can only say no. Mine booked for today, two days after I visited the website. Second one on 15th May. As yet I have had no notification to book by letter or post, so glad I just went ahead.

All the letters to carers seem to have that phrase, even when those were care for are not in CV categories, I think it's just poor drafting.

Oh ok then looks like I've mis read. They just seem to be doing it so weirdly.
Thanks everyone all booked up now.

Do you get carers allowance? I think everyone who gets it is automatically eligible for the jab

Yes I do. It's just the way the letter was worded if dp is vulnerable surely he would need his before or at the same time as me. Hes ringing the doctor's monday.
