Hello all,
I am curious if there is any information out there about when foreign visitors might be allowed to visit the UK without breaking lockdown rules, so long as they follow the quarantine regularions: is this something that might be legal from 17 May, or from mid-June?
The specific situation is that I am giving birth in August and my mother would like to come from the US at some point in the summer, whether for the birth (I know she can't come to the hospital) or beforehand. I haven't seen in her in two years and don't think I'll be able to travel myself once restrictions are lifted.
We have both now been vaccinated (her with Moderna, me with Pfizer) and she would stay in separate accommodation and get tested etc.
We don't want to break any rules, just trying to understand when this might be legally possible. Thank you (and please be kind, even if you don't agree that people should be travelling this summer.)
