Will children be having lateral flow test and then going straight to classes?

How is the lateral fow testing working when the schools back on 8th March? Are they being spaced out by a few days before school restarts, or are the children having the test and then going straight into class?

Yes, the operational guidance says “Secondary schools should offer pupils testing at an on-site ATS from 8 March. Testing and return of pupils can be phased during the first week to manage the number of pupils passing through the test site at any one time. You should offer 3 tests, 3 to 5 days apart.“

So, not possible to test 3 times in the first week.

The tests have to be 3-5 days apart so it's mathematically impossible to have 3 in a single week.

DC's school have divided everyone into groups with times for their group to be tested. Once they've had their first negative test, they can go straight to lessons. It does mean that DD is starting randomnly part way through the day.
