Weird question after pfizer vaccine

I had my vaccine this morning and I didn't even feel a scratch, I literally felt nothing. I'm not wanting to have an achey arm or anything, but I've always been able to feel jabs in the past.
Anyone else not feel anything at the time they had their vaccine or afterwards? I'm a paranoid one lol as had lots of health problems so this isn't a negative thread, just curious.

I had Pfizer and no effects at all. Very very slightly ache in arm the next day but if I hadn’t known I wouldn’t have noticed even that. No pain at the time either. It’s a tiny prick.

Yes. I had Pfizer and then a few hours later had my partner check my arm for a needle mark because it was completely painless.

Not the case today though, i can definitely feel it now.

PilatesPeach · 26/02/2021 20:14

I had no arm pain with Pfizer neither at the time nor any time thereafter and had zero side effects.

OnlyBejoking · 26/02/2021 20:17

I didn't feel the injection when she did it. Felt like absolute crap the next couple of days though. Sore arm and exhaustion.

ginoclocksomewhere · 26/02/2021 20:29

I had the Pfizer one too, I was GOBSMACKED that I felt the teensiest of scratchers. I'm not needle phobic, but I find injections really painful (can have blood taken fine though!). I did get an achey arm.

I had Pfizer and nothing bar a really sore arm that night/next day.

I had the second Pfizer yesterday and didn‘t even have a sore arm like the first one. Did have a slight fuzzy headache before bed (like when you’re coming down with a cold), took some paracetamol and slept incredibly well. I actually took the day off work today expecting side effects but shocked that I don‘t feel anything, not even a slight twinge in the arm. I can understand what you mean about worrying whether it‘s working since it‘s quite unnerving to feel nothing at all. You can take one of those cheap pharmacy antigen tests that also check for antibodies after the second shot. DH also had no side effects after both but showed a strong positive for antibodies on the test.

Oh just saw you were talking about the jab itself. Pfizer was by far the most painless injection I‘ve ever had...unsure whether it‘s technique or the needle itself. I read somewhere they need superfine needles to draw out the full 6-8 doses from each vial so that might be the reason?

On a scale of 10 for discomfort, a flu shot would be 5, clexane around 7, dental injection 9 and Pfizer literally 1.

YogaLite · 26/02/2021 21:09

Someone mentioned in another thread it's because the needles are very thin.
I also think it's the technique - something to do with not hitting nerve cells but not sure how that is done.

MildredPuppy · 26/02/2021 21:12

It was the least painful injection ive ever had. And far fewer side effects than flu ones for me

IndecentFeminist · 27/02/2021 16:20

Agreed. S he did it he commented that it may sting as it was intramuscular, which I wasn't too concerned about as I have b12 8 weekly.

Now the b12 stings like buggery, but I barely felt the Pfizer.

Doireallyneedaname · 27/02/2021 16:24

Day 2 after the jab and I still feel a bit fuzzy. Lacking energy too.

OurChristmasMiracle · 27/02/2021 16:28

Had mine yesterday. Woke this morning with achey and kind of heavy arm but it’s gone now.
