I haven’t cried since the start of the pandemic

But my 77 year old dad got his first dose of the vaccine yesterday and it’s hit me today.

Suddenly I am remembering what life was like before Coronavirus, I didn’t realise how much I’d forgotten.

I’m very pro lockdown, but I can see why the protesters talk about “human rights” - because if you didn’t believe in Covid and weren’t worried, it’d be easy to just feel like all the joy had been stripped away from you.

The concept of just booking a last minute holiday abroad seems so foreign to me now, yet it’s something we used to do all the time.

Crazy, isn’t it? I’ll never forget.

I’ve cried lots, personal reasons mainly, but cried when they first got approval for the first vaccine, then cried when my DH got his invite for vaccine.

Good times will return and we will be happy again.

I cry several times a week, I'm a lone parent in a new area away from my family. I've been alone for 3 months with a now 18 month old toddler. I don't know how I can handle another two months.
